The German Research Foundation (DFG) offers a range of funding options such as research grants, the Emmy Noether Programme, Collaborative Research Centres, Research Training Groups, Research Units or Priority Programmes. It also provides funding for graduate schools or clusters of excellence in the context of the Excellence Initiative by the German federal and state governments.
