Webinar: EU Funding for Health – Opportunities in 2025
EU Funding for Health – Opportunities in 2025
FAU Webinar: Thursday, 13.03.2025 16:00 – 17:00
Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding program for research and innovation 2021-2027 with a budget of €93.5 billion. With Horizon Europe, the EU offers a wide range of funding opportunities for health research.
Horizon Europe’s Work Programs will be published in a few weeks, proposals are expected between May and September 2025 (tbc.).
To help ensure thorough preparation, representatives from BayFOR will provide an overview of:
- the draft programs of Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. A current draft of the Work Program includes call topics on e. g. innovative interventions for mental, behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, generative artificial intelligence models in healthcare or multinational clinical studies of orphan devices and/or highly innovative breakthrough devices.
- the EU Cancer Mission. Its objectives are a better understanding of cancer, to allow for earlier diagnosis and optimisation of treatment and to improve cancer patients’ quality of life during and beyond their cancer treatment.
- the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI). IHI is a partnership for health research and innovation between the EU and Europe’s life science industries. IHI strives for a more integrated approach to healthcare, covering prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and disease management.
- the European Innovation Council’s Pathfinder Open. The Pathfinder Open is working with a fully bottom-up approach and could be interesting for researchers who do not find a thematic call fitting their idea.
This event is jointly organised by BayFOR, the Faculty of Medicine and FAU’s EU Research Office.
