FAU Strategy Talks – Join in the discussion!

The FAU Strategy Talks offer students and staff a joint platform to shape the future strategy of FAU. You have the possibility to discuss current developments, the University’s strategic approach and future goals with the Executive Board.

  • Success for FAU in the Shanghai Subject Rankings 2025: FAU is among the 100 best universities worldwide in five subjects (2024: four). In Germany, FAU even made it into the top 10 in 18 subjects (2024: 17). Data from more than 2,000 universities worldwide was included in the ranking.

  • At the FAU Awards, the university appointed Prof. Harald Haas as its new FAU ambassador. Born in Franconia, he holds the position of Van Eck Professor of Engineering at Cambridge University. In this interview, he talks about his connection to the region, his current research, and his goals for his new role as FAU ambassador.

  • Five researchers from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) are included in the list of the most cited scientists in their field, the so-called "Highly Cited Researchers List." In 2025, this list will once again feature a total of 6,868 of the most influential researchers worldwide.
