After three years on the Danube, the Danuvia alacris, FAU's second Roman boat, is returning home to the shipyard in Schlungenhof on Lake Altmühl for around seven months to undergo a general overhaul. The latest boat in the FAU fleet was also launched, the Alchmona rediviva, Latin for revitalized Altmühl.

Almost 200 scientists, over 30 nations, more than five years of project work - and at the end of it all, 89 "Big Questions", the most important open research questions in paleontology. The questions have now been published in the scientific journal Paleobiology. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kießling, Chair of Paleoenvironment at FAU, is the senior author of the study.
